HOME HAND PET SERVICES.
I love animals! I have been pet sitting for over 20 years, from highly anxious dogs to sick cats, to brand new puppies to hamsters and chickens, to your regular old every day lab. I have done it all, and loved it!
I typically prefer to stay at my own home with your pet when possible, as it allows me to continue to work on my pottery. However, sometimes if you have a really great getaway house I enjoy the feeling of brief vacations. Hot tubs are a plus! I am happy to discuss what arrangement is most comfortable for you and work together to ensure your pet receives the maximum care and love while you’re away- whether you’re just at work or on a nice long vacation.

This charge covers the basic fees for my services, and if there are any additional fees (as detailed below) I will send you an invoice, which is to be paid in full prior to the pet sit. ADDITIONAL SERVICES & FEES.
Pet pick-up or drop-off (within 30 miles of downtown Boone, NC) —— $25*
Extended stay (additional hours over 24 hr overnights window) —— $20 per hour*
Holiday Rate —— $150 per night
Additional dog rate —— $50 per additional dog per night
Puppy rate (dogs under 1 year)—— $150 per night
Cat rate —— $100 per night
Additional cat rate —— $50 per additional cat per night
Special needs pet fee (medication, significant behavioral challenges)—— total additional fee assessed upon consultation on a case by case basis depending on the level of additional care required.
Extended pet sitting (more than 3 weeks) —— Leaving town for a while? Email me your travel details to see if I can accommodate your pet at a monthly rate that suits your budget.

Sometimes things pile up. And life just keeps on going. How many times have you glanced at that pile of stuff in the corner of your bedroom and promised yourself you would get to it this weekend? Well, stress no more- the homehand is here to save the day.
I LOVE sorting things into fresh new matching containers with nice clean labels on them. There is nothing like an efficient, logical space that brings me inspiration and joy in my home art studio, my kitchen, my life. So, here’s how it works. I walk through your space and assess just how much time it will take me to sort your things, and how many containers I will need. I offer you a guesstimate quote both hourly and for the containers that I will use to sort your belongings. I invoice you for any remaining hours it takes me to sort the belongings over the originally quoted time. And you walk in to a cleared out space, whether that be your kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, or maybe even your whole house! Breathing easier, efforting less.

HOW IT WORKS:
Every Sunday, I send out a list of the fresh meals I’m cooking up and delivering that week via my newsletter. I also post teasers on instagram and facebook, @thehomehand.
Seasonally inspired, my menu is crafted with ingredients sourced as close to local, organic, and farm fresh as possible from week to week. The secret ingredient is a heaping spoonful of love, of course.
TO ORDER A LA CARTE:
Reply to the weekly newsletter by TUESDAY at NOON(or email helpinghand@katylane.co) with which foods you’d like, and how many of each if you want to save some for later in the freezer. Some items will repeat, others wont, so stock up if something sounds tasty!
Please include your delivery address in the email, and any preferences you might have about where the food gets dropped off.(I typically do front porch delivery, leaving out a freezer bag with ice packs is a great option. Other clients prefer I come into their home while they’re out and pop the food in their freezer for them.)
Look out for an invoice in your email inbox that day, and please be sure to pay within the day. I deliver the very next day.

I am an artist of a great many mediums, and the kitchen is among my favorite art studios. My work there supports all the other artwork I do. I deeply respect and revere the artwork of farmers, the nourishing traditions of slow living, and the life saving power community connection.
